After premiering during “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week with special surprise appearances by stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr., the first trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” debuted online to 61 million global views, almost doubling Marvel’s previous record of 34 million for “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The current all-time record holder is of course the full trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which racked up 128 million views in its first day after it was unveiled during Monday Night Football back in October.
“Captain America: Civil War” opens nationwide on May 6th.
