Quietly, Gaston’s Tavern in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom had a big menu change last week. The popular roasted pork shank, that made the place famous, disappeared from the menu and a new beef stew entree was introduced.

Cast members had no information on the reason for the change or if the beef stew is just a seasonal offer.

The beef stew comes in a large cup together with a large baguette at the price of $9.99. The stew itself is full of large chunks of beef complimented with potatoes, onions and carrots. The stew was very flavorful and definitely enough for a full meal.

    That looks like a mini-feijoada. 🙂

  2. Nick Dakuginow

WHAT!?! The pork shank was one of the best things at WDW…

  3. Dana

Tried the stew last Wednesday and was very underwhelmed,
It was more like vegetable soup with some shredded beef on the bottom.

Basically with it sitting cooking in a pot all day, the meat had broken up into nothingness.

So disappointing. We just left the tavern without buying anything as a result.

ONLY one reason why it was pulled, the mouse wasnt making enough money on it. Absolutely no other explanation.
