The exciting documentary “Walt Disney” premieres on PBS tonight. This two-part documentary will take a closer look at the man behind the brand that we all know and love today.

Walt Disney was aware of the gap between himself and the persona he had created for public consumption. He told himself he was just the same regular guy that he had always been — driving himself to the office everyday, getting his hair cut at the studio barber shop — but the truth was, he wasn’t just a regular guy.

See some preview clips from the documentary below.

“Walt Disney” premieres Sept. 14 & 15 at 9/8c on PBS American Experience.

We grown up with Wales Disney: the movie, Disneyland, Disney Cruse. So far I be Disneyland in California, Disneyland World and Tokyo, Hong Kong Disneyland can’t wait for the Shanghai opening.

The Disney Cruse is the best cruse on our journeys in Europe.

  2. Clay Matthews

Given that this is a PBS program, I was worried that there would be a lot of the old “Walt was a racist and America is actually an awful place” rather than an understanding that what Disney produced in his lifetime were idealized entertainments and products of the time.

But I decided that I should give it a try and that maybe, in our hyper-political culture, I was over reacting and needed to be more open minded. Then I watched the second clip posted in this article.

And now I am not wasting my time with that garbage.
