Walt Disney World has shown off huge gingerbread houses in its hotels for many years. Now for the 2014 Christmas season, Disneyland has done the same, adding an arts-and-crafts style structure made entirely from the tasty treat, sitting in the lobby of the Grand Californian hotel.
Made from more than 500 pounds of gingerbread and 60 gallons of frosting and icing, the gingerbread house was created by a 25-member team of bakers, artists, engineers, and electricians. It stands 7.5 feet tall and 12 feet wide, made by the same team that annually constructs the gingerbread house that’s the centerpiece of Haunted Mansion Holiday’s ballroom.
