Zombies to invade Disney XD with “Bunks” summer camp TV movie debuting in June

Campers at a summer adventure program, outfitted in matching green shirts and ready for canoeing with their paddles, strike a pose while two Haunted Mansion-esque undead faces peer from the cabin window behind them, evoking the playful chills of a Disney XD series come to life.

Disney has announced a zombie invasion this summer in a new TV movie called “Bunks.”

Set in Camp Bushwhack, described as “a place where campfire stories blaze to life,” “Bunks” will debut on Disney XD on June 16.

The show will follow brothers Dylan and Dane O’Reilly away from military bootcamp to Camp Bushwhack where they accidentally trigger a curse that brings a campfire zombie story to life.

The adventure will feature camp counselors, canoe trips, dodgeball,and a massive zombie outbreak.

“Bunks is destined to become the most awesome summer camp movie ever,” said Bob Higgins, Executive Producer and Executive Vice President, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment. “It’s the perfect combination of ghoulish and spooky, all in a fun and zany family-friendly package.”

“Bunks” stars Dylan Schmid (Once Upon A Time) as Dylan O’Reilly and Aidan Shipley (Flashpoint) as his brother, Dane. The cast also features Atticus Mitchell (My Babysitter’s A Vampire) as Wookie; Christian Potenza (Total Drama Island, 6TEEN) as Crawl; Emilia McCarthy (Hemlock Grove) as Lauren; Zane Davis as Genius Bar; Drew Davis as Grinsberg; Michael Levinson as Hollywood; Nicholas Bode as Twilight; and Grant Westerholm as Cheeseburger.
