can’t do it nightly because of the impact that it has on park operations. Studios displays are amazing, but areas of the park literally have to shut down and be cleared for them to go off. One such area is Pixar Place, where Toy Story Midway Mania is, has to close an hour or so before the show and remain closed after the show until the fireworks crews can call it clear. Similar thing happens at MK near the castle and fantasyland, but less impact because most of he fireworks are shot off behind the park.
If they could figure out the how without operational impact, in other words how to have the show and still keep everything open, then I would say GREAT! Because I find the Studios display better than Wishes.
Hi Greg, I don’t know the exact number, but they have their own firework factory, and the magic kingdom display is $80,000 per night, so if you call Epcot at a similar figure, and maybe $15,000 for Hollywood, around $1.5 million weekly.
Wow, is it already 25 years?! And still it’s a half day park. It would have been nice if a Potter kicking Star Wars land would have opened to commemorate the birthday but I guess at Disney we can always look out for the small things like merchandising and a special park map…

They should make the fireworks show a nightly thing. Something the studios is lacking more nightime entertainment!!

Is this event a one day only event?
Mark (UK)
Yes, it was a one off event.

Makes me curious as to what Disney spends on fireworks per year. The number must be astounding!

Then again. Not like they can’t afford it…

Ricky will you be raffling off any Park Maps from the Event? I would have to have one for my own collection.
