1Opening this Friday, an art gallery of stylized Disney posters will open at South by Southwest in Texas showcasing talented artists’ takes on classic animated and live action films.
Among the Disney movies receiving modern renditions are “Aladdin,” “Winnie the Pooh,” “Up,” “The Incredibles,” “The Rescuers,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and even “The Black Hole.”
Here’s a preview of some of the artwork that will be made available at the special event:
The gallery is in partnership with Disney’s “Oh My Disney” blog, open to the public on March 7 from 3-10pm with regular hours to follow for the show’s duration, located at 4115 Guadalupe St. in Austin, TX. Prints will be limited edition and are likely to sell out fast.
