Remy and Linguini greet guests in front of the charming Parisian plaza, complete with a glowing fountain and lively crowd at dusk, bringing the enchanting spirit of Ratatouille Land at Walt Disney Studios Park to life.

Disneyland Paris has unveiled the first trailer for the Ratatouille themed mini-land that will open this summer in the Walt Disney Studios Park. The Oscar-winning Disney-Pixar film “Ratatouille” is the inspiration for a new ride, restaurant, and area that will take guests through the world of Remy and Linguini.

The ride is called Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, in which guests will “shrink” down to the size of a rat and join Remy and his friends as they scurry through the kitchen, dining room, and walls of Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant while trying to avoid the nemesis from the film, Chef Skinner.

The attraction is located in a new corner of Toon Studio, being transformed into a Ratatouille-inspired version of Paris. When the area opens, Linguini will be a new character available to meet in the park as well.

More information was offered during a press presentation from Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald, including a closer look at the trackless “ratmobiles” as well as the ride’s layout and accompanying restaurant:

The mini-land will also feature a store, Chez Marianne Souvenirs de Paris (to open in Fall 2014) as well as a rat-scale themed table service restaurant called Bistrot Chez Rémy, which will open with the ride. The restaurant is directly connected to the attraction, visible while riding, and will of course serve ratatouille among other French dishes.
