Is it me or does disney have a bad track record of finding how to advertise there non animated flicks or critics so use to there animated flicks that they get harsh reviews because it’s not typical disney? I have yet to see the Lone Ranger only because financial belt tightening and will watch it on blu ray. I think this falls along the lines of Prince of Persia and John Carter as far as good movies targeted wrongly or advertised wrongly because I think they deserve better than they were received. May just be me though.
Prince of Persia was promoted with too much expectation in too short a period of time, and John Carter, of course, was badly mispromoted.
Lone Ranger, OTOH, fared poorly with critics because it was an unholy mess directed by a raving lunatic. 😉
