Worth mentioning: there’s a handful of issues with the original pressing of the Blu-ray (some intentional, some not).
1. The 2011 iteration of the Walt Disney Pictures logo replaces the 1985 version (this has been the case on all the 3D-converted films).
2. A few transitions have been altered (the opening fade-in is a second and change too early and the first time we see Scuttle is a hard cut instead of a dissolve)
3. The timing of the opening credits has been (bafflingly) altered and the “In Association with Silver Screen Partners III) credit has been excised.
4. This is the most egregious change. Two shots are swapped near the end of the “Part of Your World” sequence resulting in a jarring lip-sync failure.
Rumor has it that Disney will be offering a disc replacement program – as the did for the Audio problems on the Pinocchio Blu-ray – but as of right now the only confirmed fix is correcting the shots of Part of Your World.
I got off the phone with them over this specific question, this will not be in service at all. if it were in service one of the following has to happen:
1. Legend3D its conversion vendor would have to deconvert the scenes with problems and place them back in 2D, than re-convert again to correct it
2. To correct it, Disney would have to replicate the Legend3D process themselves, and i doubt they have Legends equipment to where that can happen.
This is untrue. You would never deconvert anything you would just use the 2d version again. Lol. Which is not even needed in the first place to fix an edit problem. To fix shots out of order would be as simple as changing the edit so that it matches the original edit. Shots are individual so they can be moved independently, this has nothing to do with 3d conversion. The other mismatches like transitions, fades and credit timing are also things that happen in the edit.
Gutted this hasn’t been released over in the UK, luckily my mom and dad are over in the States for Thanksgiving visiting my brother so hopefully they can bring it back for me.

Bought 3d version of Little Mermaid. The initial screen loads up, but the 3D fails to ever load. What is the matter?
