Disney Cruise Line has transformed one of its top deck pool areas of the re-imagined Disney Magic ship into the new AquaLab, a perfect play area aimed at young ones, but fun for just about everyone. Just as the new AquaDunk water slide features Donald Duck’s nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are back again to create this extra wet area with plenty of unique opportunities for excitement.
The whole area includes the AquaLab pool and water play area, the Twist ‘n’ Spout water slide, and Nephews’ Splash Zone for the ship’s youngest guests. Take tour along with a ride down the slide in the video below.

The AquaLab’s pool now features the likenesses of those three young ducks under the water, a popular area for kids 3 and up to play in.
Nearby pop jets, geysers and bubblers spray randomly across the 1,800-square-foot space while “water boilers” provide a cooling splash from leaky rivets. There’s even a Donald Boiler, duck-shaped with periodic bursts of high-pressure mist, accompanied by a temper-tantrum water gusher, triggered by interactive buttons. It’s all chaotic by design, perfect for kids to go wild in.
The tall Twist ‘n’ Spout water slide is a surprisingly long attraction. After climbing a winding stair case, kids and adults head down at their leisure whenever the green light is lit, indicating it’s safe to proceed. From there, the slide twists down three large loops toward the deck, offering peeks at the surrounding ocean along the way.
Kids up to age 3 are invited to instead play in the new Nephews’ Splash Zone, featuring Huey, Dewey and Louie appearing in oversized squirting rubber duck form with a backdrop of a blueprint explaining the whole area.
It’s all a great place to get soaked, particularly as the sun sets and most guests are at dinner or a show, leaving the play area practically empty to explore.
