I think it’s rather unfortunate that Lego chose to make their parks for just small children. The rides should really be more like Disney’s approach, in that everyone (for the most part) can ride them. Many rides at Legoland require you to have a small child with or are only for small children to ride. Lego products have a wider appeal than just small children and the parks should reflect that. Saying it’s just for small children just seems to me like an excuse to make a cheap inferior product.
I must say i am VERY disappointed in this new addition to the Legoland park. It lacks imagination and creativity, and doesnt even come close to comparing to something like Empire of the Penguins at Seaworld. They basically just throw guests into a sloppy and wet mess, with additional poorly created scenery and depictions of characters in the Chima world. Add random exposed wires and an overall bad product line, this new “immerse experience” comes out on bottom. I have never been a fan of Legoland to begin with, considering their target audience requires me to have kids, but this seals the deal. Unless they manage to put forth more effort into their attractions, i will not be returning to this park.

We built what they designed, and we built it WELL. If you don’t like the look and design of it, complain to Legoland. The fabrication and construction was top-notch and our staff went above and beyond what was required of them to get this job done in the time allowed.
Then the real problem is obviously in the overall design and planning for this project. I’m sure your people spent a lot of time and energy on creating this new attraction. Frankly, the fact that you shift most of the blame to Legoland only confirms my observations. The constrictions that you faced may have effected your overall finished product in a very negative way…so shame on THEM and not you. On a random side note, I am very interested to know who you work for? What other projects you have worked on and for what other parks?
is it just me or are there no targets to shoot for to activate the “minimal” animations? I have not been to legoland, and this attraction does not increase my desire to go. Sorry for the critical response just being honest. I would have liked to see more movement and less static scenes, possibly a way to shoot a target to prevent a water event from happening, or to shift that water event to another boat would have been nice.
