Busch Gardens Tampa has announced their newest thrill ride called Falcon’s Fury, a drop tower with first-of-its-kind features. Opening in spring 2014, Falcon’s Fury will be the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America.

The ride will take guests 335 feet straight up into the air, turn them facing the ground in a full 90-degree tilt, and drop at speeds up to 60mph.

Falcon’s Fury replaces the Sandstorm, which closed last week in the Timbuktu area of the park after having first opened in December 1979.
