In time for summer, Nickelodeon Suites Resort has said ahoy to a flurry of new SpongeBob SquarePants entertainment bringing the Bikini Bottom gang to life across multiple experiences, adding to the hotel’s already fun amenities.

Nick Hotel is located just a few minutes down the road from Walt Disney World’s Epcot and Downtown Disney and with its latest lineup of excitement, fans of SpongeBob and other Nickelodeon hits shouldn’t miss making a visit.

Spongebob’s Bikini Bottom Breakfast

For those not acquainted with the hilarious world of SpongeBob SquarePants, Nick Hotel’s new buffet offering called Bikini Bottom Breakfast may seem like it has an odd name. But those who know the show recognize Bikini Bottom as the name of the undersea town in which SpongeBob lives, along with best friends Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks.

That trio as well as Krusty Krab owner Mr. Krabs and the forever-grimacing Squidward Tentacles are now meeting Nick Hotel guests over breakfast, coming out to pose for pictures, dance the hula, sing a few songs, and generally have a good time. Plus, the breakfast itself is quite good, especially the freshly made custom omelets.

SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue

There are a lot of “4D” movies in Orlando, each combining a 3D film with in-theater effects, most inside theme parks, like Mickey’s Philharmagic, It’s Tough to Be a Bug, and Captain EO at Walt Disney World and Terminator 2: 3D at Universal Studios. But Nick Hotel seizes an opportunity to offer theme park quality entertainment right at the resort with the new SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue.

Though the hotel did have a previous SpongeBob 4D film, the new one created by Super 78 Studios in conjunction with Nickelodeon and SimEx-Iwerks blows the original out of the water. Perfectly capturing the spirit of the SpongeBob SquarePants television show in its irreverence, The Great Jelly Rescue takes the 2D world of Bikini Bottom and translates it into 3D. All the original voices are there as Plankton sets out on yet another evil plan against Mr. Krabs. But SpongeBob is there to help save the day through a series of hilarious scenes, each enhanced by bubbles, scents, wind, lighting, and more effects. It’s a must-see new Orlando attraction.

You can hear more about The Great Jelly Rescue on Show 420 in an interview with Super 78 Studios president Brent Young.

And at its debut, SpongeBob and friends put on a little dance in honor of the new film, as seen in the video below.

Hotel Amenities

Beyond those two new Nick Hotel features, fans can continue to find more SpongeBob fun within the resort’s family suites and extraordinarily fun pool, complete with water playground, slides, and poolside games with plenty of green slime.

The rooms aren’t necessarily the most comfortable and inviting, as the hotel was converted from an old Holiday Inn around a decade ago. But the hotel more than makes up for that with its incredible amenities and entertainment scattered throughout.

Other Nick Hotel Shows

Beyond SpongeBob, there are many more Nickelodeon shows represented at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort. From Dora the Explorer to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to a revival of the classic Double Dare game show, Nickelodeon watchers young and old will find something they know, either from adults’ own childhood or kids’ current TV favorites.

Dora stars alongside Diego in the Friendship Fiesta, new this year. The Ninja Turtles kick shell while meeting and greeting with guests. And Double Dare Live presents families a chance to get super sloppy in a faithful and fun recreation of the old Marc Summers-hosted show.

Nickelodeon Suites Resort is excited to offer so much great entertainment – but there is a catch. Only guests staying at the hotel can enjoy them. Nick Hotel has previous offered day passes but is currently reserving its experiences exclusively for those who stay there. It’s an impressive array of perks to enjoy while getting a decent night’s sleep in an elaborately-themed hotel.
