A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… actually, it was just a week ago in Orlando, Florida when tens of thousands of “Star Wars” fans gathered to share their love of the franchise during the 4-day mega event called Star Wars Celebration VI. Though we’ve already shared the creative costumes many of these fans wore and took at look at announcements Disney made during the event, Celebration VI featured even more entertainment than people and presentation watching.
Across its massive show floor, interesting, unique, and downright wacky exhibits continuously drew attention. And now that it’s all over, it’s time to look back at some of the most inventive, fun, and simply silly sights shown, starting with the most surreal moment I stumbled across throughout all the days I was there:
A Slave Leia shooting gallery.
The convention afforded attendees an opportunity to shoot at a gaggle of Slave Leias, scantily clad, just waiting to be pelted by NERF bullets launched from automatic plastic weapons. As if that weren’t enough, right in the middle of the gorgeous girls was Daniel Logan, known best in the “Star Wars” universe as the actor who played young Boba Fett in “Episode II.” Now grown up, he did his best to protect the ladies from a most amusing barrage of foam artillery – but not before he hopped behind the guns for a round or two of his own. And yes, it was all caught on video, presented for your enjoyment below.

But that’s not the whole story. The shooting gallery was set up as a charity benefit, accepting donations in exchange for rounds of squishy ammunition. And it wasn’t only Slave Leias taking fire, but Stormtroopers and other characters as well. Strange? Yes. Fun? Absolutely.
So what could possibly top that? Everything. Anything. The sights around the Star Wars Celebration VI show floor were so varied that it would take weeks of articles to individually write about them all. So instead I offer a photo tour across the convention floor, providing a commentary-free view of it all as it unfolded for those who were there. Along the way, we will even stop and chat with a certain new-to-TV celebrity who was manning his own booth.
