Looks amazing, although I’m sure in person it is even more spectacular. Would love to see something like this at the Seas w/ Nemo, although I’m not sure where exactly they could put it (and there are other Epcot pavilions in need of more attention at the moment).

I saw this last week but frankly I was a little a disappointed. I don’t think it quite lives up to the hype. While the 3d projection dome technology shows some promise, the design of the theater makes it so people are always in your field of view, really destroying the 3d illusion, as a person’s head and whats on the screen can’t occupy the same space. Also, for whatever reason, once the projectors are turned on the seams in the screen become really visible (maybe because the screen is so close to you?), again damaging the 3d illusion. Finally, the cg animation is not very good by todays standards coming off as very computer-game looking. All in all I think Soarin’ or the old Back to the Future ride gave a better feeling of realism (I can’t speak to the new King Kong thing at Universal Hollywood). It seems like SeaWorld might have been in too much of a rush to put a bit more effort into it, which is a shame because I think with another year worth of development those few kinks could have been worked out. Oh well, maybe they’ll update it in the future.
