My favorite romantic Disney scene is the ballroom, “Tale as Old as Time” Scene from Beauty and the Beast. A total tear-jerker, and the artistry behind the scene is fantastic. I saw the movie when it came out in 3D a few weeks ago and it was just as beautiful as ever. The story is fantastic.
My favorite romantic scene, hands down, is Beast’s transformation in Beauty and the Beast. It takes a nearly fatal accident to make Belle realize her love for Beast is real, and just when she thinks she has realized it too late, the spell is broken and he becomes the prince he used to be. It’s such a great beginning to their happily-ever-after.
My favorite romantic moment from a Disney movie would be the boat scene with the lanterns from Tangled…the combination of the beautiful lit up sky and the lovely song just make the scene so beautiful.
How about when Simba and Nala finally recognize each other after not seeing each other for so long in The Lion King?? Right as “Can you feel the love tonight” plays <3
There are a ton of older classic romantic moments, which are all good. But the ultimate act of love, for me, is giving your life/freedom for another’s. That’s what makes Rapunzel choice to give up her freedom to try and save Flynn’s life my ultimate romantic gesture. 🙂
My favorite romantic Disney scene is in Hercules, when Hercules decides to stay on earth with Megara because “a life without Meg – even an immortal life – would be empty”. <3
The most romantic Disney scene has to be when Simba and Nala reunite for the first in Lion King with Elton John’s song in the background. Gives me chills every time.
I think it’s really hard to top that ballroom scene in Beauty and the Beast! Especially with the song playing, the beautiful animation and the special effects with the ceiling art. Always a tear jerker!
The ballroom scene in Cinderella is the most romantic for sure! Prince Charming sees her and it is love at first sight! The two dance to their hearts’ desire and time slips by without even a care and it leads to true love! THE true classic romance 🙂
There are so many! I think I will go with a new fav. The scene in Tangled just before Eugene dies and then after he comes back and says “Did I ever tell you I had a thing for Brunettes?” and the
Such a classic line and their love is just so sweet and playful, I love it!
Lady and the Tramp, the spaghetti scene where they are eating but don’t realize that they are eating the same piece and where he pushes the meatball at her…aw romance!
What could be more romantic than when the she fits, and they live Happily Ever After? Cinderella. My love story is there in front of that castle, where we were engaged. 🙂
the most romantic scene in a Disney movie has to be at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End when the flying dutchman returns and there is Elizabeth is waiting for Will proving that time cant make their love fade.
Lady and the Tramp – The spaghetti scene where they are eating the same piece and don’t realize it then when he pushes the meatball over with his nose…aw romance!!!
The lantern scene in Tangled, I’m not the sappy romantic type but I can’t lie it almost made me cry. I have the instrumental version of “I See the Light” and I’m going to use it at my wedding (when I walk down the isle).
My favorite is when Sebastian is singing “Kiss The Girl” in The Little Mermaid and you can just feel the energy between Ariel and Eric. It always brings me back to those moments I had right before a first kiss 🙂
I tried to think of a better one but I can’t. It has to be the scene in Tangled where they are in the boat and the lanterns are released and then they are surrounded by them. It’s so beautiful!
My favorite romantic scene in a Disney film is the montage from UP showing Carl and Ellie growing up, getting married and growing old together in their house.
Lady and the Tramp on their first date behind Tony’s. My fiance LOVES that scene so much. I initially planned on proposing to her outside Tony’s at WDW, where the heart and paw prints are – but the ugly scaffolding during a refurb caused a slight change of plans.
One of my favorite romantic scenes is when Ariel and Eric are in the row boat and the pond animals are singing Kiss the Girl. I love that Ariel can’t speak but she’s getting Eric to fall in love.
I love when Princess Aurora dances with Prince Phillip in “Sleeping Beauty.”. It always amazed me how her dress changed from pink to blue and back to pink. It is my favorite romance scene and probably the one that captures the idea of “true love” the best 🙂
Mine is an oldie but a goodie. I am a huge fan of the animated Robin Hood so two scenes same movie! When Robin risks life and limb to dress like a stork just to steal a kiss and when they finally marry at the end! Love that movie wish Disney would do more with it.
I know everyone says The Ballroom Scene from Beauty and the Beast, but I have to disagree. I think the more meaningful and romantic moment in that movie is when Belle comes back to save the beast, because her decision is based on her true love for him. It always melts my heart when she drapes her body over his and says “I love you…”, and then the transformation starts…all of the sparks and magic flying through the air… and then, when she stares deep into his eyes, realizing that it IS still him, and they share one of the most romantic kisses in Disney history as the wind stirs all around them.
THAT to me, is the best romantic Disney scene-Loving someone despite their looks and faults.
I am a sucker for the dancing scene in Beauty and the Beast. I remember watching it for the first time as they panned the ballroom and it literally took my breath away!
From the movie Tangled, the lantern scene with Flynn and Rapunzel is my favorite romantic scene from a disney movie. Especially in 3D it was beautiful and magically romantic.
The first scenes in Up! Just the perfect opening to a brilliant movie with music to match! Michael Giacchino is a genius when it comes to writing moving music 🙂
I have 2 and can’t decide between them–1 is the “I love you” scene before the transformation is Beauty and the Beast. The other is the lantern scene in Tangled. There are soo many more that I love just about as much that I could make a long list 🙂
There’s so many romantic scenes to pick from, but I LOVE The lantern scene in Tangled. I also love how they portrayed this scene in The Magic, The Memories and You show for Valentines Day. It’s so amazing I always cry.
The most romantic movie moment is from Enchanted. When Giselle and Robert dance at the Ball and he twirls her around. And that song, So Close is probably one of the best Disney song.
Beauty and the Beast dancing in the ballroom. When I watch it, I can picture my grandmother watching it, enthralled, when I brought the movie to her house for her to watch. She was about 95 years old at the time. She loved the whole movie, and especially that scene.
In Wall-E, when he and EVE are floating through space together. I guess it’s not a typical “romantic” movie, it but definitely shows how love can change you, even when you aren’t looking for it 🙂
The winter garden scene in Beauty and the Beast when Belle and Beast start to warm up to each other. “There’s something sweet and almost kind, but he was mean and he was course and unrefined. But now he’s dear and so I’m sure, I don’t know why I didn’t see there before!!”
My favorite romantic scene is the ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast, specifically the pan from the ceiling around the chandelier to the two of them dancing.
Ooo! so many. I would go with the scene in Wall-e when Eve has gone to sleep after finding the plant and Wall-e does all the different date activities with her, its sweet, romantic and funny at the same time.
My most romantic scene in any Disney movie might be the Magic Carpet ride in Aladdin with Princess Jasmine. Either that or the Vespa ride in the Lizzie Maguire Movie!
The entire montage of Ellie and Carl’s life together. It was very touching as he tried to reach out and comfort Ellie when she knew she would never be a mother.
My favorite romantic moment is the interaction between Carl and Ellie in the opening of the movie Up. Such a sweet love story unfolds in a matter of minutes.
101 Dalmatians where Pongo is eyeing the other dogs and owners and then changes the clock to arrange a meeting through the park with the other dalmatian and her owner. I love how he’s trying to attract attention. Not quite romantic, more like a man’s idea of romance. I just think it’s cute 😉
I love Aladin and the scene where they are in the boat with all of the fish and frogs are around and they tell him to ” kiss the girl” is the best, but the whole movie just rocks it is one of my favorite next to little mermaid.
My favorite scene is from Pirates of the Carribean with Will and Elizabeth on the island before he has to leave! How could you not love Orlando Bloom!!!
I believe the most romantic scene is when Aladdin and Jasmine ride away on the carpet at the end of the original Aladdin after Aladdin frees Genie and Jasmine’s dad makes the new law that the princess can marry anyone she wants. All this happens and they sing a reprise of “A Whole New World.” So magical!
The movie up when the old guy did so many things to do his wifes lasts wishes after she had passed away. I never cried so much. Nothing is more romantic or shows love so strong as that
I definitely would have to say in Tangled when they sing “I See the Light” together in the boat with all the lanterns. I wish my life were like a Disney movie!! What a cute love story.
I think it is The Balconny Scene in Snow White where prince Ferdinard sings to Snow White after he fell in love with her. He appears to her by suprise, and when she enters to the castle, he sings to her.
Its got to be hands down in the movie “UP” when he realizes that she filled in her adventure book with the story of their life together! Sniffle Sniffle…Makes me get all teary eyed just thinking about it.
When Lady and the Tramp share a spaghetti dinner, they both go for a strand of pasta, happens to be the same strand, they begin slurping from opposite ends until their mouths meet in an accidental kiss. Tramp then also gives Lady the the last meatball. “Bella Notte” plays in the background during the scene. So romantic!!
There are so many! But I think I will go with the end of Beauty and the Beast when the Beast is dying and Belle tells him that she loves him (and of coarse he comes back to life).
My favorite romantic moment from a Disney movie is absolutely the end of The Nightmare Before Christmas, where Jack and Sally profess their love for one another on the spiral hill during the snow fall…it’s perfect, lovely, and a little dark.
My Favorite love scenes are Ariel & Eric. 1) They are on the boat about to ‘kiss the girl’ and 2) when they are getting married at the end of the movie! Yay!!
Mine is when Brier Rose and Prince Phillip meet in the woods for the first time with all the animals. My daughter wore out or VHS tape on that one… (am I showing my age?)
Aside from the obvious “Kiss the Girl” scene from The Little Mermaid, I always liked the squirrel sequence from Sword in the Stone. After Wart is transformed into a squirrel, a female squirrel experiences love at first sight, comes on strong, and even saves his life!
My favorite movie of all time, Lady and the Tramp, also includes my favorite romantic scene. In the scene where Lady and Tramp are both sharing a romantic dinner all while being serenaded is definitely my favorite. There is nothing more romantic than a little Bella Notte and “puppy love”. 🙂
There are so many great romantic moments in Disney movies, but the “I See the Light” scene in Tangled was really moving. It was just so pretty to look at.
My favorite romantic moment from a Disney movie is from The Nightmare Before Christmas when Jack Skellington sings to Sally uptop of Spiral Hill. He sings to her, after she picks the petals off of the flower, then they both sing to one another in the dead of night thus kissing at the end.
My favorite romantic scene is in Tangled when Finn and Rapunzel are in the boat with the floating lights.
I love the song she sings, “I See the Light”.
My favorite romantic scene is actually 2…I can’t decide! Either when Belle & the Beast are dancing (with Belle in her gold dress) or in Tangled why Flynn and Rapunzel are watching the lanterns!
My favorite romantic scene from a Disney movie is tied between when Belle and the Beast have dinner and realize they care for one another. She discovers she is free to go but chooses to stay. The other scene is from Enchanted at the ball when they are dancing and he (McDreamy) sings to her. She says “I thought you said you can’t sing” and he says “I said I don’t sing not that I couldn’t” …I long for a guy to look at me the way he did at her.

I know everyone says The Ballroom Scene from Beauty and the Beast, but I have to disagree. I think the more meaningful and romantic moment in that movie is when Belle comes back to save the beast, because her decision is based on her true love for him. The other scene is from Enchanted at the ball when they are dancing and he (McDreamy) sings to her. She says “I thought you said you can’t sing” and he says “I said I don’t sing not that I couldn’t” …I long for a guy to look at me the way he did at her.
