I wonder why the expansion details were virtually nonexistent. Perhaps plans have not been finalized for what exactly is being build? But it seems like they could have had a much larger buzz if they’d announced the Orlando expansion with the actual plans for what they are.
I really question the relavance of Harry Potter in 5years. I enjoy the franchise and all but after 8 films and JK Rowling declaring she won’t be continuing anything then are people really going to be as infatuated in a few years.
For me, I was so excited to plan an Orlando visit so I can see HP, but it didn’t work out and the longer I wait the less interest I have. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to see it some day but I don’t feel it’s a destination I’d revisit as often as I would some other theme parks.
I really like the Harry potter area, but how much can they really fix in Hollywood? The forbidden journey is a good ride, but it makes me pretty sick. I still wish they’d implement the ride intensity thing they talked about initially with the robocoaster concept. At any rate it sounds like this announcement has only a bit less vaporware content then Avatar land, but I love the competition heating up! Good for theme park fans everywhere.
