First-ever Halloween Horror Nights mobile app, passholder early access to be offered at Universal Orlando

in Entertainment, Merchandise, Theme Parks

For the first time ever, Universal Orlando will offer an official mobile app for Halloween Horror Nights 2011, giving attendees instant access to more information about the annual event. In addition, special nights give annual passholders a chance to experience the horror a bit earlier than everyone else.

Beginning on September 23, the first date for Halloween Horror Nights 21, the mobile application will be available for download for free. It will feature a GPS interactive map as well as information on haunted houses, scare zones, shows, and other attractions around the Universal Studios theme park.

UPDATE (9/21/11):
The Halloween Horror Nights mobile app is now available for download for Apple and Android.

And on September 23, 24, 30, and October 1, Premier and Preferred passholders for Universal Orlando can get early admission for the passholder and one guest through an exclusive passholder-only entrance at Universal Studios. Inside, passholders will be able to access The In Between and The Forsaken haunted houses from 5-6:30pm and the Nevermore house as early as 5:45pm – 6:30pm, before the general public is admitted. These houses will be located near the back of the park, by Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone.

Passholders will also receive early access on those dates for the first showing of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure, on a first come, first served basis. It’s recommended passholders show up at 30 minutes prior to show time.

To attend, passholders must show a valid Premier or Preferred pass to gain access and must also purchase a separate Halloween Horror Nights ticket. Space is limited, so passholders are encouraged to RSVP at HalloweenHorrorNights.com/AnnualPass.

There will also be an exclusive Horror Nights passholder pin on sale beginning September 23 at the Universal Studios Store for $7.95 + tax.
