The Disney California Adventure theme park has been undergoing a major transformation, adding new attractions and dining options to create a better experience for guests. This summer, one part of the ongoing change debuted at the beginning of July, offering new options for lunch, dinner and snacks in the Paradise Pier area. The new Paradise Garden includes Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Paradise Garden Grill and Bayside Brews, a beer and pretzel kiosk, alongside the popular staple Corn Dog Castle. With live entertainment, inviting decor, and more culinary choices, guests now have more to look forward to when visiting the park.

Let’s take a photo trip around the new area, sampling some food and music along the way…

Paradise Garden
Open again!

Paradise Garden
There is a LOT of seating in shade and in the sun. This section is in between Corn Dog Castle and Goofy’s Sky School.

Paradise Garden
The walkways throughout the Paradise Gardens area are easily accessible and wide to allow easy guest flow.

Paradise Garden
Goofy’s Sky School is on the other side of this wall, so you actually get to hear the attraction queue’s background music, which is naturally a little wackier than the rest of Paradise Garden’s.

Paradise Garden
Paradise Garden Bandstand stage is the gazebo, which should allow performances even if the weather isn’t perfect. Guests can hear the show while in line at the Paradise Garden Grill.

Sligo Rags performs traditional and modern Irish music.
Paradise Garden
They are very talented and their music is perfect for an eating location because it’s not distracting.

It’s hard to see here, but the tech runs the show on a tablet.

MORE seating - These tables are closest to the stage and the trees offer great shade.

Even the condiments get a pleasant architectural presentation. The only downside to all the open seating is that during inclement weather, this stuff will get wet or fly everywhere and there are no extras in the indoor quick-service restaurant, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.
Paradise Garden
The main entrance to Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. There are two other entrances on either side as well.
Paradise Garden
Covered walkways with even more seating!

Foyer of Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. The other side of the trunks hold side dishes, desserts and drinks including bottled water, milk, apple juice, etc.

The other side of the entrance. The photographs are all examples of Americana of the early 1900s and immigrants.
Paradise Garden
Lots of space for crowded days that offers a good browse, but could get confusing on busy days when guests have to get in a line.
Paradise Garden
The pizza is flatbread and rather tasty. You get to pick what kind you want the same way you choose at Tomorrowland’s Pizza Port.
Paradise Garden
Pretty chandeliers. Great detail and skylights too!
Paradise Garden
Menu - if you don’t read this and realize there are steps, you will confuse yourself and the Cast Members.
Paradise Garden
So much seating - it’s a great place to meet someone coming from Paradise Pier.
Paradise Garden
Bayside Brews is just across the way and offers a few different beers than those at Boardwalk.

They also have pretzels.

And soda and water for the little ones/non-drinkers.
Paradise Garden
Grilled Steak Mediterranean Skewer with Tzatziki sauce. You have a choice of four sauces which you can get on the side. A small sample of all four sauces on the side is also an option.

Paradise Garden
Fruit pizza- strawberries, raspberries, orange, bananas (I think) and pesto with a cinnamon and sugar glaze and custard-type sauce. It smells good, too! Obviously, this is not for the carb-counter of the family.

There’s a bit of something for everyone in the new Paradise Garden area, from pizza to kebabs, and sodas to beer. Food, ample seating, and enjoyable live entertainment create an inviting atmosphere for Disney California Adventure guests to take a seat and relax between rides.
