Golden Gate Bridge to become Glendale-Hyperion Bridge at Disney California Adventure

in Disney, Disney's California Adventure, Disneyland Resort, Theme Parks

With the ongoing transformation of Disney California Adventure from a kitschy representation of California as a whole to a much more interesting view of California as Walt Disney saw it in the 1920s, the entrance area of the theme park will become the new Buena Vista Street. The Golden Gate Bridge that has adorned the park’s entrance since its opening is now being transformed into the historic Glendale-Hyperion Bridge.

Today Disney released a rendering depicting what the new bridge will look like when it is completed:

The Disneyland Resort monorail will still pass over this bridge, across Buena Vista Street. Southern California Red Car Trolleys will pass underneath.

At a recent “What’s Next” presentation, Disneyland Resort president George Kalogridis explained how the entrance to Disney California Adventure is changing, showing artwork and a fly-through rendering of the area:

I don’t get it. Why did they change the bridge? Where is this California Adventures Park? I went to Disneyland last year but I didn’t see how to get to California Adventures. I know everything about Disney but I never heard of this.

Is this a joke? You were just at disneyland and know everything about disney, and you dont know there are 2 theme parks side by side? They literally face each other. They share the common area where tickets are sold. The reason they sell park hoppers is so you can hop from one park to the other. The grand californian hotel even has an exit that goes from the hotel, right into california adventure park.

  2. I really believe that a foreclosure can have a major effect on the borrower’s life. Property foreclosures can have a Several to 10 years negative effects on a client’s credit report. The borrower that has applied for home financing or virtually any loans for instance, knows that the particular worse credit rating is, the more hard it is for any decent mortgage loan. In addition, it could possibly affect the borrower’s ability to find a good place to let or hire, if that becomes the alternative homes solution. Great blog post.

  4. That Boise player got just what he deserved. There are many instigators, they are found in sports, politics, schools everywhere. In politics they go by the name BECK, Dobbs, Hannity,Buchanan, just to name a few. S0, I realize the young man who threw the punch will probably lose millions; however, I am so tired of those individuals that are the catalyst that start a bunch of strife and they are able to walk away from it. The only person we ar talking about is the person who threw the punch. What about the instigator ?? We have pundits that start stuff and walk away. Think about that for a moment.
