Oh my! I don’t know I would have held up during this! I am still so sad that I was not able to make it down unitl next week! I would have loved to have been apart of such an awesome weekend – NEXT YEAR! I would have probably shed a few tears. I have my photo of the three of us & it’s one of my most cherished! Thank you so much for posting this! I hope you had a blast all weekend, and I cannot wait to hear the podcast! Glad I’m off tomorrow so I can continue to catch up on posts from this weekend! For a moment I thought the journey into imagination would get a (much needed) update to the original, longer and much, much better ride from when I first visited Epcot (Center). Unfortunately it isn´t so…
From the look of it the overly rich fans at D23 got they´re money worth.
When Dreamfinder walked out on that stage, the energy level–scratch that, magic–in that room was truly palpable. I had the chills from some of Mr. Sherman’s earlier performances, but when he and Dreamfinder performed their duet, I couldn’t hold back the tears.
For me, it was a chance to re-connect with the characters that began my love for Disney as a child. Seeing the REAL Figment and Dreamfinder for the first time since probably 1996 or so was truly an emotional experience for me.
So, thank you D23 and your wonderful cast, thank you Mr. Sherman, but most of all, thank you Mr. Schneider for making the evening so magical!!!
Hopefully a HD video leaks out of this in the coming weeks. There were several people near us recording other performances (albeit not in HD), but I was too stunned during Dreamfinder’s appearance to tell whether anyone recorded it. At least there’s one video already out!
My sister is a part of D23, and told me about Dreamfinder. I don’t know if this supports the hopes that Journey into Imagination will be refurbished similiarliy to the original ride. I guess all I can do is hope.

Disney captured the whole event, but it didn’t seem likely that they’re going to release the video or audio. No one else was allowed to record it.
