It’s only February but Universal Orlando is already planning details for Halloween Horror Nights XXI, to debut more than 7 months from now in late September. In a guest survey, Universal has revealed they are considering adding another Frequent Fear pass to their Horror Nights ticket line-up, granting unlimited access to the event early in the haunting season.

The new ticket is a variation of the Frequent Fear Pass currently called “Rush of Fear” (a working title). It would give visitors unlimited access to Halloween Horror Nights 2011 for its first 10 event nights, which would include the first 3 weekends on Friday and Saturday nights along with weekday event nights.

Last year, Universal offered two versions of the Frequent Fear Pass, one permitting guests to enter Halloween Horror Nights for 14 weekday nights and the Plus version adding another 5 weekend nights ($90). Either of these tickets could also be purchased with the Express option, giving front-of-the-line access to haunted houses for $80 or $150 more, respectively.

The new Rush of Fear ticket is estimated in the survey to cost roughly the same as a full price, single day ticket, somewhere around $60-70 though prices are not yet determined.

Halloween Horror Nights generally starts off each year with fairly light crowds, increasing in popularity until Halloween week where it often drops down considerably as people plan other events to celebrity the spooky holiday. Locals might not have as much use for the Rush of Fear pass, with a desire to attend Horror Nights on as many nights as possible just to enjoy the ambience and fit in a few haunted mazes when lines permit. But tourists arriving early in the haunt season could find the Rush of Fear pass to be the perfect option, allowing them to visit the event on several nights during a vacation.

Prices for all of Universal’s Horror Nights tickets were also a topic in the survey, asking for opinions on how much each ticket is worth to guests. In 2010, the Frequent Fear Pass was $75 and is being considered for a range of $60-80 this year. Likewise, the Frequent Fear Plus Pass was $90 in 2010, now being considered for the $70-100 range.

Of course, all of this is still up in the air as Universal plans ahead for Halloween Horror Nights 2011. Firm details surrounding the event will likely not be available until June or July.
