Guests are invited to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to celebrate Valentine’s weekend a unique twist on their Serengeti Night Safari.
For one night only, on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 6:30 – 9 p.m., Busch Gardens will bring a group of guests through Edge of Africa to witness the active nighttime behaviors of hippos, lions and hyenas, lit only by moonlight and handheld lanterns. Out on the Serengeti Plain, night-vision monoculars and filtered lighting will make visible free-roaming herds of giraffes, zebra, rhinos and other African animals.
If cruising the savannah isn’t romantic enough, guests will also gather in close around a bonfire to hear colorful tales of African folklore. In addition, the beginning and end of the adventure will feature appetizers and adult beverages in the Safari Club, with a special nightcap including champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
Back in November 2010, we adventured out on a similar Serengeti Night Safari, minus the romance, and brought a camera along for the ride. Take a peek to see what’s involved on the trip:
The whole evening costs is $60 per person, plus tax and park admission is not required nor included. Those interested can call 1-888-800-5447 for reservations. All participants must be 21 years of age.
