Just in time for tonight’s first-ever Annual Passholder event inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Orlando is offering a limited number of Passholders a chance to download the Harry Potter Spells iPhone app for free – normally $0.99.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can visit universalorlando.com/HPspells and enter their information for a promo code good for the free download.
The app enables Potter fans to have a wand chosen for them, get sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses by the Sorting Hat, and use hand gestures to practice and duel with various magic spells, including the Unforgivable Curses. Duels can be against the computer or a friend in real-time.
There’s also a free version of the app that comes with far fewer spells, with the option to upgrade and purchase the rest at a later date. Or, of course, anyone can pay $0.99 for the same app Passholders are getting for free (in limited quantities).
Passholders who are not already signed up for tonight’s special after-hours Wizarding World event still have a chance to join in the fun, as Universal Orlando will repeat the event on Dec. 16. Click here for RSVP information.
