Disney has created a new web page dedicated to the under-construction Art of Animation Resort, adding a few new details and a bit of artwork for the upcoming hotel.

The Art of Animation Resort was first announced in May, though not much has been said about it since. The value hotel will be built in the unused half of Pop Century and will feature buildings themed to 4 classic Disney animated films: The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Disney·Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Cars.

The new artwork above depicts an outdoor water play area featuring the characters of Nemo and his dad Marlin swimming among an anemone, with Crush and Dory swimming alongside buildings in the background. This will be one of four courtyards (one for each film) that will feature film characters and sculptures to interact with and play around. A main pool with a pool bar and 2 quiet pool areas will be available along with an animation-themed food court, arcade, and shop.

Planned for the hotel are 864 value rooms in The Little Mermaid buildings plus 1,120 family suites among The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo buildings each of which accommodate up to six guests.

These family suites will include two separate bathrooms, a master bedroom, three separate sleeping areas within the living space, and something new called an “Inovabed”, which Disney is describing as “an impressive piece of furniture that transforms from a generously sized dining or work table to a comfortable bed in seconds.”

The hotel is currently scheduled to open Summer of 2012, though booking dates are not yet available.
