Universal Orlando teaser video tells Halloween Horror Nights 20 details to be revealed on August 26, 2010

Spine-chilling hallway scene from Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 2010, featuring ominous coffins lining the dim corridor, a ghoulish monster hand reaching out to startle guests, and eerie banners draped across the iconic brick walls in true Horror Nights style.

Universal Orlando has released its first teaser video for 2010’s Halloween Horror Nights XX, the twentieth year of the popular Halloween time scare-filled event, offering a glimpse at past years’ scares along with an official date for the full reveal of this year’s details:

In the video, Jim Timon, senior vice president of Entertainment for Universal Orlando resort, comments on Halloween Horror Nights 20, calling it “super intense,” and “evolving” the past 20 years “for the next 20 years.” The video also shows that August 26, 2010 will be the big reveal date for this year’s event.

In addition, a few gruesome images have been revealed:

A classic Universal mummy stands alongside ghostly silhouettes, all illuminated by moody blue lighting against a dark backdrop, setting the spine-chilling tone typical of a Halloween Horror Nights teaser at Universal Orlando Resort.

A terrifying monster, with twisted features and jagged teeth illuminated by dramatic yellow-orange lighting, captures the chilling atmosphere of Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.

A Halloween Horror Nights prop at Universal Orlando: a lamp fashioned from a fake human leg, surrounded by mannequin hands and limbs, all illuminated by eerie yellow lighting for a chilling effect.

A menacing clown mask featuring jagged teeth, wild green hair, and straw details by the mouth is dramatically illuminated in yellow-orange light—an unforgettable image setting the scene for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando.
