Universal Orlando’s official Halloween Horror Nights web site is telling visitors “it’s never too early to start panicking” and has released the 2010 dates for the annual scream-filled event.
Halloween Horror Nights 2010 will take place over 25 nights in September and October on the following nights:
The popular Halloween event will be returning to the Universal Studios Orlando theme park this year, celebrating 20 years of scaring the wits out of attending guests. Specifics surrounding this year’s event theme have not been released yet, but interviews with those in charge of putting Halloween Horror Nights 20 together each year have hinted at it being a “scrapbook” of past years, so we’ll likely see the return of many favorite characters. Likewise, near the end of 2009’s event, Universal added an extra “scare zone” to the event that brought back several old Halloween Horror Nights characters seemingly as a test to see how well guests remembered and reacted to them.
All of the buzz at Universal Orlando currently surrounds the upcoming opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but after that grand opens on June 18, it’s likely that the Halloween Horror Nights 20 hype will begin with new details trickling out between then and the event’s opening night on Sept. 24.
You can already order general admission tickets through the web site, with this year’s standard ticket price costing $74.99. The site states that Frequent Fear Pass details will be coming soon and also offers other vacation packages for the event.
