For young ones not quite ready to brave wave pools and or speed down water slides, SeaWorld Orlando has added swimming lessons as a new activity at its Aquatica water park.
Available for children 6 months and older, American Red Cross certified swim lessons are taught by Aquatica’s water safety instructors.
I have been swimming nearly my entire life, having grown up in Miami, and remember taking lessons at an ordinary local pool. While I was excited to learn to swim, I was never thrilled with the lessons themselves. But had I lived near a world-class water park like Aquatica offering swimming lessons, I certainly would have begged my parents to take me there instead.
Level one classes at Aquatica begin on June 14 and level two classes begin on June 28. Enrollment ends 48 hours before the first class.
Regular price for Aquatica’s swimming lessons is $199, but annual passholders can save $100, bringing the cost for lessons down to $99.
