There are multiple record-breaking theme parks in Southern California, including Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland Resort, and Knott’s Berry Farm. Now, you can officially add LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, CA, to that list.

On March 3, 2024, LEGOLAND California continued to celebrate its 25th anniversary by throwing the largest dinosaur costume party in the world. 1,273 guests dressed up as their favorite prehistoric creatures, beating the previous record by almost 100 people.

While this may seem more appropriate for Universal Studios and its various Jurassic Park-themed rides and sections, this is actually perfect for the San Diego park since it is opening a Jurassic World all its own.

There are multiple LEGO parks throughout the world, including LEGOLAND New York Resort, each home to its own LEGOLAND Hotel, LEGOLAND Water Park, and epic LEGO creations. Now, the California Resort is setting itself apart from the New York Park and every LEGOLAND Discovery Center with its brand-new Dino Valley area.

“We’ve made history at LEGOLAND California Resort with a ROAR-some celebration – largest dinosaur costume party in the world! We are thrilled to announce the eagerly awaited opening date of Dino Valley: March 22!”

Dino Valley will bring three new rides to the park: DUPLO Little Dino Trail, Explorer River Quest, and Coastersaurus, a fan-favorite attraction from LEGOLAND Florida Resort. On top of this, there will be a ton of new interactive character meet & greets and a Dino Outpost where kids can create their own LEGO creations and uncover dinosaur bones and fossils.

Dino Valley is an exciting new addition to the park, especially considering it is intended for children between the ages of two and 12. Now, the dinosaurs can roam free alongside LEGO Ninjago and all of the LEGO Friends.
