Sadly, a novel will do nothing for the average movie-going Star Wars fan. Should’ve just made good movies the first time around.

Decanonize sequel’s and rewrite. Luke would never have become a bitter old hermit. That’s stupidy. And everyone I know agrees.

The focus on Rise of Skywalker completely misses the point. The problem is and always will be The Last Jedi. No amount of extra books or new animated series is going to fix that.

At this point it’s just damage control. The books/games/comics used to be for enhancing the universe, not for what amounts to retconning the corners they painted themselves into with their god awful storytelling. Honestly I don’t even care about those 3 movies anymore, I barely even think about them much less try to come up with BS ways to make them work when they clearly just don’t.

I am actually currently reading (well listening to the audiobook as I’ve gotten really spoiled on the immersion that Star Wars ones provide through amazing production with licensed sound and score along with great voice talent overall for narration). I must say, while I actually enjoyed IX and still do, this book as I’m listening through is so far providing some real depth and fill-ins to not just events and each characters’ part in them, but a front row view into their thoughts, motivations, etc. Not read or heard of Christopher before, but in sharing his nane as my own first and middle though with a different last name, I’m impressed especially as I’ve sampled A LOT of different writers/storytellers in SW through shows, books, comics, games etc. And to use the overused cliche, The Force is with this one indeed thus far.
