There are so many great options to choose from when eating at Walt Disney World. From the delicious O’hana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort to dining with princesses inside Cinderella Castle, there is no end in sight when looking for exceptional meals at the Resort. While so many great choices exist, few compare to the quality of Disney’s California Grill.
Set atop Disney’s iconic Contemporary Resort, California Grill offers Guests an incredible selection of high-quality and artistic dishes, drinks, and desserts. One drink specifically caught our attention, however, as the restaurant is selling currently a $137 cocktail on its special limited-time menu!
As shown on the drinks menu, the “California Grill Signature Cocktail” is a premium champagne cocktail mixed with Rémy Marin Louis XIII, a high-quality cognac that usually sells for $4,000 per 750ml bottle! This cocktail is part of California Grill’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu, which commemorates Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

The cocktail was pretty good. The cognac was super strong and did alter the champagne taste, but overall this is more of a fun, “special occasion” type of drink to get. Along with the incredibly-expensive cocktail, we also ordered the Ancho Rancho Spicy margarita, complete with a pepper in the drink.
Our meal started with the bread service shown below:
We also ordered the Free Range Plancha-Seared Chicken. This dish wasn’t cooked as well as we would’ve liked.
We ordered the huge, 35-oz Beef Ribeye Tomahawk Steak for Two. This special steak is not included in the base price of $89 per person and is an upcharge of $80. This dish was great and certainly competes with the steaks at other high-quality restaurants and steakhouses.
We ended the night with some ultra-sweet desserts, like the Iridescent Grand Mariner Crème brûlée and the Five Magical Bites – 50 Years in the Making. These were both very good with just the right amount of sweetness.
Our server Scott bringing us the luxurious cocktail:
We had an overall great meal at Disney’s California Grill which consistently delivers in both creativity and taste. See Disney’s complete description of California Grill’s Menu below:
