If you have an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, you are aware that Advanced Dining Reservations were recently changed as Disney implemented new protocol changes due to the ongoing pandemic.

Previously, Guests were able to book Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180-days in advance. But when the theme parks reopened, the booking window changed to 60-days in advance.

Now, a glitch on the Walt Disney World website is hinting that the pre-pandemic 180-days could be returning!

When recently visiting the Disney Dining page on the Walt Disney World website, we went ahead and attempted to change the booking window for our Advanced Dining Reservations.

Now, with the 60-day booking window in place, we excepted to only be able to scroll through until September 19; however, much to our surprise, we were able to scroll all the way until January 17, 2022, as seen in the screenshot below.

Though, when we clicked on January 17, 2022, and tried to search for any available reservations for this day, a message popped up that read:

We’re sorry, there is a problem searching for reservations at this time.

This is clearly a glitch of some sort for some visitors to the website as the Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World website currently still states:

All Guests may now make dining reservations online up to 60 days in advance.

At its time, we are unsure if Walt Disney World will bring back the 180-day booking window for Advanced Dining Reservations or if this is simply just a random glitch in the system, but Inside the Magic will update you as we get information regarding the reservation window for Disney Dining.

If Advance Dining Reservations did go back to the pre-pandemic ways of 180-days in advance, this could allow Guests a better opportunity to book their vacations further in advance as well as allow for more time to make changes. With only being able to book 60-days out, it does not leave much time for Guests to change reservations based on other plans that may come up. But with having reservations available 180-days in advance, it allows for Guests to accommodate any other plans they may need as things come up.

On the bright side, Guests can look forward to the return of the Disney Dining Plan at a later date, which you can read more about here.
