California Residents Only

First, it’s important to remember that at the point of the reopening, only California residents will be allowed in the parks. Upon purchasing tickets online, the ticket purchaser will need to verify that themselves as well as everyone in their party are California residents.

Important Ticket Sale Dates

For theme park tickets and reservations, there are a few important dates to keep in mind:

  • April 9, 2021: Current ticket holders will get exclusive access to only view available dates. Current ticket holders will NOT be allowed to make reservations at this time.
  • April 12, 2021: Current ticket holders may make reservations at this time (8 a.m. PST)
  • April 15, 2021: All California residents allowed to purchase tickets and make reservations (8 a.m. PST).
  • April 30, 2021: Reopening day for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park

Making Park Reservations

Guests must have a ticket before making a reservation. You will be required to have both a theme park ticket and a theme park reservation in order to enter either of the Disneyland Resort parks.

Guests will be limited to one park reservation per Guest per day. During your visit, you will be allowed to park hop if you have a valid Park Hopper ticket. In order to park hop, when you are making your reservation, you will need to select the first park you will be attending. Then after 1 p.m., you will be able to select the other park in your Disneyland mobile app.

Another very important thing to note is that once a reservation is made, it cannot be modified. If needed, you can also cancel your reservation using the Disneyland mobile app

Theme Park Ticket Prices

The great thing about ticket prices for when the Disneyland Resort parks reopen is that they have not increased since 2020!

There was a lot of speculation when it came to ticket prices before the resort made their announcement about the park’s reopening. Especially since Disney ended their Annual Passport program, park goers were concerned about the cost of returning to the Happiest Place on Earth. Although no mention of an Annual Pass program have been announced, we can look forward to these ticket prices.

Thanks to @gothicrosie on Instagram and the OC Register we’ve learned that prices for the reopening will NOT change from when the park closed in early 2020 due to the pandemic. Take a look and swipe to see a graphic of all ticket prices from 2020, which should still be valid this year:

As of early 2020, there were five tiers of Disneyland ticket prices, and the prices varied depending on how busy the parks were predicted to be on any particular day (Tier 5 is considered the busiest, with Tier 1 the slowest). Below is a breakdown of how much Disneyland Resort theme park tickets to give you an idea of how much you would pay for one day (depending whether you wanted to be able to visit two parks in one day).

At this point in time Disney has not said there is any limit to how many tickets can be purchased per transaction, but it will be important for you to be logged into your Disney account using the Disneyland mobile app or the Disneyland website.
