Today, tickets for this limited-time food and shopping event went on sale to Guests and, unsurprisingly, demand was high. In fact, ticket sales have been impacted by the overwhelming popularity.

When Guests were let into the queue, they saw an image of Mickey Mouse with an estimated wait time. In our case, the wait time was estimated to be “more than an hour,” although we waited a total of over three and a half hours before we successfully got our tickets.

Then, the website automatically redirected to “The queue has been paused as we are temporarily unable to sell more tickets. When we can do so, the queue will reopen.”

At this time, it is unclear if there was an error with the third-party queuing system that was being used. However, Disney has given this update on the Queue-It page, letting fans know that there are still tickets available:

Thank you for your continued patience! The queue has been paused and tickets are still available. When we can do so, the queue will reopen. Please remain in the queue as your spot is being held.

There have currently been no confirmed reports of successful ticket sales on social media. Multiple members of the ITM team have encountered this apparent error, but we continued to leave the tab open and we remained in the queue until we were able to purchase tickets.

Here’s what other Disney fans were saying online. One Disneyland fan responded to the official Disneyland Legacy Passholders Twitter post with a screenshot of an error page:

It said my turn was next and then this happened

A user going by TETRIS posted:

Wait what’s happening?! How is it paused and they are unable to sell more when I haven’t seen ONE person that got tickets???

About an hour after the site initially went down, some Disneyland Guests have begun to share that they’ve successfully ordered A Touch of Disney tickets. S3Nano wrote simply:

Mission accomplished! #touchofdisney

Prior to the tickets going on sale, Disney did not announce what time they would be available for purchase, so eager fans were virtually camping out for their chance to purchase a ticket to attend the event within the first few weeks of opening.

It is important to note that Disney has confirmed A Touch of Disney tickets will be available on a rolling basis — the event currently has no set end date. Today’s tickets were originally for dates spanning from March 18 (opening day) through April 5. Now, however, Disney has opened up reservations for an additional two weeks. Per the official Disneyland website:

Due to the popularity of A Touch of Disney, we’ve decided to open up the availability of tickets for two additional weeks. Dates, ticket availability and prices for the A Touch of Disney experience will be released on a rolling basis until the experience ends. Please continue to check Disneyland.com for updates.

Disneyland Resort fans who attend A Touch of Disney will be able to enjoy numerous newly reopened areas of the theme park, such as Pacific Wharf and Pixar Pier. Even fan-favorite restaurant Lamplight Lounge will once again be hosting Guests!

Bear in mind that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park remain officially closed. This means that rides and attractions will not be available during A Touch of Disney. However, this is a major step forward for Disneyland fans, who have previously only been able to visit the Downtown Disney District and DCA’s Buena Vista Street area. which reopened on November 19 for shopping and dining but will close after March 14 in preparation for the event coming soon to California Adventure.

Currently, there is a bill — AB 420 — that will be heard by the California State Assembly as early as March 7. This bill, which has support from the City of Anaheim and L.A. County, asserts that all California theme parks should be able to reopen in tier 3 instead of tier 4 of the state’s Blueprint For a Safer Economy.
