Disney World Guests are eager to get back to the theme parks and soak up the magic. In fact, it looks as though some families are already planning ahead to summertime as one Disney World theme park currently has very limited Park Pass availability for early June.

Ever since the parks reopened in July 2020, Guests have been eager to visit a galaxy far, far away at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — making this, according to the Park Pass availability calendar, the most popular Disney World theme park as of late.

In case you aren’t familiar with the Park Pass system, Disney World implemented it in July 2020 when the theme parks reopened to Guests. It is designed help keep track of demand and ensure that limited capacity was enforced. The Park Pass system requires those who wish to visit a Walt Disney World theme park — Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom — to have both a valid ticket and a reservation for the park they wish to visit on a specific day.

When looking at the Park Pass availability calendar for the last few months, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is easily the most in-demand park as it’s almost always the first theme park to get fully booked. And this continues to be true moving forward, as Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already booked for two ticket types for early June.

For those of you who are theme park ticket holders, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already completely booked for June 7-10.

The same goes for Select Resort Hotel Guests. When looking at the calendar, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is already completely booked for June 7-10.

But, if you are an Annual Passholder we have some great news — The entire month of June is wide open for all four theme parks!

We do want to note that it is important to always check the official Walt Disney World website and the availability calendar before planning your Disney World vacation as Park Pass availability is subject to change.

More on Disney World’s Park Pass System

As previously stated, Disney World implemented this new reservation system for Guests in July 2020 in order to help keep track of demand and capacity. For those of you who wish to visit a Walt Disney World theme park — Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom — you must have both a valid ticket and a reservation for the park you wish to visit on that day.

Additionally, it seems as though this Park Pass system will be sticking around for quite some time. In 2020, Chairman of Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro indicated that the Disney World Park Pass system is a “new normal” that isn’t going away anytime soon, if ever. The system has currently been extended into 2023.

Therefore, Guests should get accustomed to utilizing the Disney Park Pass system if they are planning a trip to Walt Disney World.

In case you aren’t familiar with the Disney Park Pass system, the official Walt Disney World website describes it as:

Please note that park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the park reservation is finalized.

Purchase Tickets

Explore a variety of ticket options. Once you purchase your tickets, then you can make your park reservations.

If you have a room-only reservation at a Disney Resort or other select hotel, please call the Disney Reservation Center or call your travel professional to upgrade to a vacation package with tickets—and then make your theme park reservations.

Room-and-ticket packages may also be available.

Please review any advisories or restrictions in place for travel to Florida, and do not travel to or enter Walt Disney World Resort unless you are free of any COVID-19 symptoms and otherwise comply with the requirements of such advisories and restrictions.

Additionally, there are three different Park Pass options depending on which type of theme park ticket or reservation you have. For example, if you are a Disney World Annual Passholder, you will have a different tier of availability then those of you who are an existing ticket holder or someone staying at a Disney World Resort hotel.

The official Disney World website states:

Park attendance is managed via the Disney Park Pass reservation system—now available to Guests with valid admission. To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for Guests ages 3 and up.

Booking Your Park Reservations

The Disney Park Pass system is now open to Guests with valid admission. The number of theme park reservation days you can hold at one time varies based on your plans:

Disney Resort and other select hotel Guests can make park reservations for dates during their stay for the number of days that they have valid theme park admission.

Annual Passholders can make theme park reservations for up to 3 days at a time, and for their length of stay if staying at a Disney Resort or other select hotel.

Existing ticket holders can make reservations for the number of days of valid theme park admission.
