With Walt Disney operating during a global pandemic, the company has had to make sure health and safety was at the forefront of their operations for Guests. Wearing a face mask anywhere on Disney World property is a rule that Disney is strictly enforcing, and if you don’t want to abide by it, Disney is asking you to reschedule your vacation.

Wearing a face mask at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs, and and at Disney World Resorts is a requirement for Guests visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth. Unless you are actively eating, in a rest zone, or you are in your Disney Resort room, you must be properly masked with an approved face covering over your nose and mouth.

Disney has stepped up their game when it comes to enforcing these rules, putting up signs that warn Guests they will be asked to leave if they do not properly wear a mask, as well as having an audio announcement air regularly throughout Disney World Resort alerting Guests of the same. Now, the Disney World website has updated their face coverings section with the same serious tone.

The website now states:

To enter a park, both a park reservation AND valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for each person in your party ages 3 and up (limit one park per day). Acceptable face coverings must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times except in designated areas. If you’re unable to do this, please reschedule your Walt Disney World visit to a later time.

After all of the strong messages being put out by Disney World this week regarding proper masks, Guests should not be surprised if they are removed from the park if not following the rules as the signs and announcement state clearly.

Disney has an approved face covering guide that you can follow, and we strongly suggest all Guests brush up on the rules imposed by Disney prior to visiting the theme parks.
