Here is what DVCNews.com had to say about the extended refurbishment,

Disney has revealed that the Polynesian’s monorail station will remain closed until July 2021. The closure was previously revealed to commence on November 2, several weeks after work begins on the lower level September 28.

Crews will use the time to update portions of the Great Ceremonial House including the port cochere (main entrance), check-in desk and the 2nd floor platform which provides access to Walt Disney World’s signature transportation line.

We also see the confirmation of this information about the monorail closure on the official Disney website. We also reported on a construction permit for the Magic Kingdom monorail today as well. It seems as if the monorail is receiving some much needed TLC. The monorail has been breaking down more and more recently, and we gave our readers tips on what to do when the monorail breaks down.
