in Walt Disney World

As of this week, Walt Disney World Resort Guests can now order MagicBands for their upcoming vacations to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

In the weeks leading up to this, Disney had been canceling Guests’ MagicBand orders. New MagicBand orders for upcoming trips were also on pause temporarily after Disney World had announced its closure and before a reopening date was announced. But now, Guests are able to place new MagicBand orders for their upcoming trips.

Remember: New Disney Resort hotel reservations are paused, and only select resorts are reopening this month. Read more about hotel operations here.

Guests can choose a complimentary MagicBand that is a solid color, upgrade to a MagicBand with a more unique design (such as Disney Princesses, Toy Story, Minnie Mouse, Disney Junior characters, and more), or even opt out of a MagicBand if they already have one of their own that they would prefer to use on their upcoming Disney World vacation.

Keep in mind that if you are able to place a MagicBand order, you have to order up to 11 days prior to your arrival date in order to ensure that you receive your MagicBand on time.

This is only the most recent development in Walt Disney World Resort news. Earlier this evening, we reported that Guests with upcoming trips are being encouraged by Disney to use the online check-in feature in the My Disney Experience app, the official Disney World app. You can read more on that story here.

When it comes to other new Disney World developments, the Disney Skyliner was spotted today, causing many to speculate that it will be back up and running soon. And we also caught an aerial view of the new rose and gold makeover on Cinderella Castle, which is expected to have a whole new look when the paint job and construction is complete.
