That’s right, Potterheads, you will finally get to hear Harry Potter being read by Harry Potter himself.

More magic continues to pour from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and into your home, as the next stage of “Harry Potter at Home” launches with a very special reading of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Several actors have signed on to narrate a portion of the book, and it all begins with Daniel Radcliffe.

According to Wizarding World.com

so many of us still staying at home, we are asking friends from the Wizarding World and beyond to read all seventeen chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone for us…

…We, alongside J.K. Rowling, have announced seven of those readers from the stellar line-up today.

Excitingly, Daniel Radcliffe, Stephen Fry, David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, Claudia Kim, Noma Dumezweni, and Eddie Redmayne are amongst the cast of narrators, with more surprises and special appearances from across the Wizarding World and beyond to come. Each will be reading different sections of this iconic book – with its themes of family, friendship, courage and overcoming adversity – to families around the world.

While stay-at-home restrictions begin to be lifted across America and around the world, many communities are not so lucky, especially in Harry Potter‘s home country, England. There is also a strong social urge to stay at home.

Wizarding World released “Harry Potter At Home” at the start of April to keep witches, wizards, and muggles of all ages entertained as they sat out the pandemic. It not only offered a free audible of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, but it also provided games and shorter readings that gave a deeper insight into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as tips on how to start reading the seven-book series.

Harry Potter was a shining light during the entirety of this pandemic. Author and creator JK Rowling began by dropping the licensing fees on Harry Potter e-books, so teachers now working from home could add them to their curriculum free of charge. Harry Potter studio tour busses even became real-life Knight Busses, providing commuter transport to healthcare workers.
