Reservation times and entrance requirements

If you got a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23, remember that you are required to have valid theme park admission, reservation confirmation (including QR code), and a government-issued ID for all members of your party listed on the reservation. Guests with a reservation can check in at Star Wars Launch Bay up to two hours before your assigned reservation time, and you can go to the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as directed once your reservation begins.

At this time, general reservations are no longer available for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. However, you can still receive a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when you stay at a Disneyland-owned hotel (Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa, or Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel) between May 31 and June 23.

Opening day protocol

If you are visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on opening day and your reservation time starts at park opening at 8 a.m., there is no need to arrive early, just as with all other Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservation times. However, you can still begin checking in up to two hours before your assigned reservation start time. Parking at select Disneyland Resort parking lots will open beginning at midnight on May 31.

Visiting after June 23

Remember that reservations will no longer be required to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge beginning June 24. Starting then, Disneyland will implement a virtual queue to visit the new land so guests can enjoy the rest of the resort while waiting to visit Batuu. The virtual queue will be implemented and accessible on the Disneyland app. Here’s how Disneyland describes the virtual queue process:

The Disneyland app will have a dedicated module, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Status and Access, available from the main page, on which you can request to join a boarding group to visit the land, once you have entered the park. Boarding groups will be sent a push notification when it is their turn to enter the land and they can monitor status of boarding groups from the app. There will also be the ability to join a boarding group from select locations inside Disneyland park, if you are not using the app. The boarding group is tied to admission media that will be scanned upon entry into the land. Signage throughout the park will also display boarding group status. Admission into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be subject to capacity, and having an assigned boarding group will not guarantee entrance to the land.
