In a new series of images from Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair, fans have been given the ultimate first look at “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” the last iteration of the current Star Wars trilogy. In the image above, we get our first glimpse at the Knights of Ren, the mysterious organization that was first seen in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Not much is known about the Knights of Ren other than the fact that Kylo Ren is their leader.

What part the characters will play in this upcoming film is unknown as Vanity Fair did not reveal any details surrounding their part in the movie.

Fans have been wondering for quite some time whether or not they’d be making an appearance in this upcoming film and now it seems fans finally have the answer they’d been hoping for.

With the release of these images, Vanity Fair also revealed that Kerri Russel’s character in the upcoming film will be Zorri Bliss, a new character belonging to the smuggler/bounty hunter/scoundrel class of Star Wars. In the image above, we see her in the Thieves’ Quarter of the snow-dusted world Kijimi.

This is Russel’s second time working with Abrams as the first time she worked with the famous director was back in the late 1990s/early 2000s college drama “Felicity.”

These images also gave us a first look at First Order leaders General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Allegiant General Pryde (Richard E. Grant) on the bridge of Kylo Ren’s destroyer.

According to Vanity Fair, Abrams and his crew built miles of road into this desert and basically set up a small town, populated by the cast, crew, and extras.
