We’re ecstatic that we can finally visit Batuu, drink blue milk, and pilot the Millennium Falcon, but since not all of us are Disney Parks locals, we have to find other ways to get our “Star Wars” fix whenever we’re unable to go to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Not to worry, because now you can experience the force in the comfort of your own home with some new furniture pieces inspired by a galaxy far, far away.
Filipino industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue has created some epic furniture in collaboration with Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company. This collection is perfect for the ultimate “Star Wars” fan looking to add a bit of intergalactic goodness to their living space. Cobonpue is known for his fun and innovative designs for airports and children’s playgrounds, so we’re excited to see his work in collaboration with our favorite sci-fi film saga.
“We wanted to incorporate the essence of each ‘Star Wars’ character into the designs while staying true to our aesthetic and process of creating by hand,” Cobonpue said in a press release. “We reimagined the ‘Star Wars’ universe through the lens of the Filipino craftsman and creative. Finding the balance was a bit of a challenge, but it was also a lot of fun.”
The best part about this collection is its versatility. Although the furniture pieces are clearly inspired by the “Star Wars” films, their neutral colors make them easier to incorporate into your home dĂ©cor. Whether you’re creating a “Star Wars”-themed living room or you are just looking for a fun and different chair to add to your home office, these “Star Wars”-inspired furniture pieces can work for any fan.
