The nighttime celebration Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting an update next month, Disney announced.

Rivers of Light: We Are One debuts on May 24, 2019, with additional imagery and animals from Disneynature films alongside famous Disney characters. In the concept art pictured above, a real-life lioness and her cub are featured next to Sarabi and Simba from “The Lion King,” along with the show’s signature floating flowers.

“The music of “Rivers of Light: We Are One” weaves together the original musical score and familiar Disney themes to create a powerful arrangement that inspires and carries us through moments of discovery, fun, friendship, fear, love and family,” says Disney.

The original Rivers of Light show debuted in February 2017. The nighttime celebration features floating lanterns, water screens, video projections, and choreographed laser animation, which culminates in a finale of song, light, and color. The show seats up to 5,000 guests in the park’s Discovery River Amphitheater and it runs on select nights, lasting approximately 15 minutes. For showtimes, you can check the My Disney Experience app or the Entertainment Schedule.

To secure a spot for Rivers of Light, you can book a dining package and enjoy a meal and non-alcoholic beverage at Tusker House or Tiffins. The package includes premium seating for the Rivers of Light show. To book a dining package, head over to the Walt Disney World website.
