Disney’s Riviera Resort draws inspiration from Walt and Lillian Disney’s travels through Europe and the beautiful scenery captured in their vacation photos. The resort’s signature dining restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, will bring that Mediterranean style to Walt Disney World.

In Italy, Mickey Mouse is known as Topolino, so the restaurant’s name is a nod to our favorite mouse. Situated on the rooftop of Disney’s Rivera Resort, Disney describes Topolino’s Terrace as being “modern interpretations of Italian and French textures, colors, and carvings mingled with stonework that harkens to what can be found in ancient European villages along the coastline.”

The menu features regional dishes from the Italian and French Riviera, and the food is prepared in an onstage kitchen with a wood-burning grill. Guests can dine on meats and seafood, handcrafted artisanal pastas tossed with fresh pressed olive oil, and a gourmet selection of cheese from France and Italy. A selection of decadent desserts also reflects the restaurant’s Mediterranean influence.

Since France and Italy are well-known for their amazing wines, the restaurant, of course, has an impressive wine list. The wine collection is sourced throughout the south of France and the coast of Italy. In addition, the restaurant serves cocktails featuring figs, citrus, and vanilla tones.

Similar to the dining experience at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests can dine indoors and then step onto the terrace to enjoy the surrounding vistas or catch the nighttime spectaculars taking place nearby at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

And that’s not all! Before heading off to the parks in the morning, guests can enjoy a Disney character dining breakfast experience inspired by the Riviera.

Breakfast and Dinner at Topolino’s Terrace are very different but both equally excellent. Dinnertime, while suited for the entire family, will naturally appeal to adults and makes for the perfect date night or romantic dinner. The menu is on par with any of Disney Worlds’ best restaurants so you won’t be disappointed.

Breakfast is a character dining experience, therefore, will naturally appeal more to kids and families with kids. But adults will love that the breakfast menu has both delicious and unique items that go well beyond Mickey Waffles so if you want the best of both worlds this is definitely the reservation to grab.
