Love is in the air at Disneyland Resort. We thought we’d share some of our favorite romantic dining locations on Disneyland property. Whether you’re looking for a great place to have dinner on Valentine’s Day, the perfect breakfast date spot, or a sweet place to dine with the one you love, these restaurants are sure to bring joy to you and your special someone. Here are our picks for the best romantic restaurants at Disneyland Resort.

Napa Rose restaurant and lounge

Of course, Napa Rose has to be at the top of our list. But there are a few reasons why Napa Rose is one of the most romantic places to dine at Disneyland. First, the location is exceptional. Disney’s Grand Californian is the most extravagant hotel on Disneyland property. Second, Napa Rose offers dining experiences for multiple budgets, so you can either go all out with a chef’s table or you can save some money and get appetizers and cocktails in the lounge. Whatever strikes your fancy, don’t forget to check this one out if you’ve never tried it before.

Carthay Circle upstairs balcony

Carthay Circle upstairs balcony

Carthay Circle is many Disney fans’ must-eat location at Disney California Adventure, but did you know you can actually watch the Disneyland fireworks from this restaurant? If you’re lucky, you can grab a table on the upstairs balcony of Carthay Circle overlooking Buena Vista Street and, that’s right, the Disneyland fireworks. This isn’t always available, so our advice is to arrive at the restaurant when it opens for dinner and ask how you can wait for a fireworks view table. It won’t be guaranteed, but chatting with the Carthay Circle cast members will help you get this highly desired dining spot.

Lamplight Lounge overlooking Pixar Pier

The newly reimagined Pixar Pier is always romantic at night, with its glimmering lights and reflective water. We absolutely love the food at Lamplight Lounge, and while this restaurant is great at any time of day, we think a sunset dinner overlooking Pixar Pier is the way to do it. Order some beverages from their extensive menu and share some delicious appetizers. Remember that you can get a great waterside table at the lounge or restaurant, so ask the cast members working that day what is available.

Jolly Holiday Bakery Café during fireworks

Fireworks in the sky

Disneyland at night has to be one of the most romantic places in the world, and Jolly Holiday Bakery Café has some of the best outdoor seating to watch the fireworks. The Hub is completely illuminated with sparkling trees before and after the fireworks begin, and because Jolly Holiday is located on the corner of Main Street, this is the perfect restaurant for people watching. Get there early to be sure you can snag a table, and pick up some delicious desserts (or that famous grilled cheese and tomato soup combo!) to munch on while you wait for the show to begin.

Carnation Café with Main Street U.S.A. view

Carnation Café with Main Street U.S.A. view

We can’t make a list of the most romantic places to eat at Disneyland without including Carnation Café. But here’s the trick: you’ve got to be patient enough to wait for a table outside. As long as weather permits, we highly recommend asking for a table for two outside nearest the Main Street U.S.A. sidewalk. This restaurant is one of our favorite date spots at Disneyland because of the old school Disneyland feel, the real carnation flower on every table, and its close proximity to Main Street U.S.A. Dinner is fantastic here, but if you’re okay with skipping your rope-drop attractions, we love eating here first thing in the morning. There’s something timelessly romantic about a Carnation Café breakfast while taking in the sights, sounds, and smells, of Disneyland.
