Update 2/28/19:

It’s official, the Jonas Brothers are getting back together and have announced the release of their first single in more than five years! According to E!, the new track is a fast-paced pop song titled “Sucker,” which will be dropping this Friday, March 1, at midnight.

Starting Monday, March 4, the Jonas Brothers will begin a week-long takeover of “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” where it’s been reported that the band will discuss their reunion, take part in the show’s sketches and perform their new single “Sucker” for the first time on TV.

What might be the most exciting part of this news for some is that the band will be also be taking part in a Carpool Karaoke segment, as previewed from the video above, showing the trio together with Corden singing “Burnin’ Up” and their new single “Sucker.”

In the preview, Nick states how “It’s nice to be able to finally tell somebody. We’ve kept this a secret for almost seven, eight months. This is basically our first performance back.” Kevin goes on to say, “I’ve gotta dust off the cobwebs.”

Last week, The Sun reported the band would be reuniting with not only new music but also a tour and a documentary covering their reunion. No news has been confirmed whether or not the tour or documentary will be happening as part of the band’s reunion.

Insider reports multiple sources say the band will no longer be using the word “Brothers” in their band name and will instead go by JONAS.

For those who don’t remember the beloved boy band, they first formed back in 2005 and gained their stardom from their appearances on Disney Channel, which led to their appearances on multiple Disney Channel Original Movies, including “Camp Rock” and its sequel, and eventually their own TV show. The band continued strong until taking a hiatus in 2010 and 2011 to pursue solo projects, before eventually breaking up in October 2013.

The band made the announcement on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” with Nick saying, “In a nutshell, I said, ‘Look, I feel like we’ve had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them,'” he said. “‘I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals in the group.'”

Since the release of The Sun’s initial report, multiple news outlets have reached out to the band’s members to verify the news, but none have commented on it. Even though the teen heartthrob’s reunion is not solid, fan excitement has already been exploding across the internet.
