Disney Princesses Hogwarts

What if all your favorite Disney characters were actually witches and wizards at Hogwarts? We love it when fandoms collide, so when this artist merged the worlds of “Harry Potter” and Disney, we knew we had to share.

Willemijn1991 on the platform DeviantArt recently shared his amazing creations of Disney princesses and icons reimagined as Hogwarts students. Best of all? Each princess has her own Patronus, carefully and thoughtfully selected by the artist. How amazing is that? The artist explained his artwork and creative choices with Pupperish to share why he decided to give each Disney princess their particular Patronus. And as you can imagine, some Patronuses were easier to select than others. For example, some characters, like Jasmine and Tiana, were easy to come up with, because their Patronuses (a tiger and a frog, respectively) are easily recognizable from their films. Other characters, like Elsa and Rapunzel, have Patronuses that are a bit more symbolic of the princesses’ storylines and personal traits.

What we love most about this artwork is how representative it is of our favorite female Disney characters. So many of these characters (like Kida from “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” and Esmerelda from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”) are hardly represented in the theme parks or on merchandise, so artwork like this is very refreshing for Disney fans like us. We love seeing Disney princesses depicted in art as empowered women, and we know you do too.
