The Tropical Hideaway, a new rest stop for visitors to Adventureland in Disneyland Park, is nearly ready to welcome Guests. Today, Disney shared a first look at the exotic new destination.
This new hideaway promises to be a hot spot to visit in Adventureland, located in the former home of Aladdin’s Oasis between the Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. At the marketplace, hungry travelers can sample a variety of foods from around the world. As Disney revealed earlier this summer, some offerings will include steamed bao buns in three different types: Spiced Vegetable Bao, Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, and Bulgogi Beef Bao. The marketplace will also offer chilled ramen salad, tropical-inspired snacks, the delicious Pineapple Lumpia spring rolls (which are also served in Disney’s Animal Kingdom), and refreshing Dole Whips. Once the sun goes down, the area is illuminated with flickering torchlights.
To reach the Tropical Hideaway, Guests can use the main bridge, go through Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, or travel the “Skipper’s Walk,” a pathway connecting from the Jungle Cruise loading dock.
Once Guests enter the hideaway, they should keep an eye out for fun details and colorful wildlife. For example, the stars of the Enchanted Tiki Room live in birdhouses along the roofline of the Tropical Hideaway, and each house is labeled with the bird’s name.

Also revealed earlier this year, Rosita from the Enchanted Tiki Room takes up residence in the new hideaway. From her perch on the dock, Rosita makes small talk with Guests and has plenty of jokes and one-liners to share.
