Few characters can Christmas home like Olaf and his animated Arendelle associates from Disney’s 53rd full length cartoon creation, “Frozen.” It’s as if the phrase “Winter Wonderland” was coined specifically for the film’s setting.

For this holiday season, we thought it would be fun to explore five different types of festive “Frozen” fun. From theme park experiences to at home excitement, we’ve gathered an ice castle full of holiday happiness.

Part 1 – Frozen Adventures

1. Arendelle Attractions

Disney Imagineers make magic happen at theme parks around the world.  “Frozen” fever, thanks to these entertainment wizards, can be found at several Disney locations.

In Florida, at the Walt Disney World Resort, three theme parks feature “Frozen” fun. Epcot’s World Showcase, Norway hosts a pair of Arendelle adventures: Frozen Ever After took over Maelstrorm while Ann and Elsa’s summer residence added a meet and greet opportunity at the Frozen Royal Sommerhaus. Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in addition to an opportunity meet Olaf, is home to “For the First Time in Forever: a ‘Frozen’ Sing-Along Celebration.” During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, Olaf, Kristoff, Anna and Elsa appear for A Frozen Holiday Wish where Queen Elsa transforms Cinderella’s Castle into a shimmering, ice covered winter wonder.

In the Evergreen Playhouse, part Shanghai Disneyland’s Fantasyand, another version of the Sing-a-Long entertains guests during “Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration.”

At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, features Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome. This meet and greet takes place in Hollywood Land at Disney’s California Adventure (DCA). Also, at DCA, an hour long, Broadway style performance of “Frozen at the Hyperion” includes songs, scenes and characters from the animated feature.

Frozen fever is also spreading to Paris and Hong Kong. At the Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland, it appears that an entire Frozen land may be emerging. Concept art shows what may be Elsa’s Castle and Arendelle (village and castle). Concept art for Hong Kong Disneyland’s version shows what appears to be a new “Frozen” coaster.

2. Frozen on Stage

From film to stage, Disney’s animated hit lands on Broadway! The new musical features several new songs as well familiar favorites. “Frozen” on Broadway opened on March 2018 at St. James Theater. New York, however does not lay sole claim to the musical, as a North American tour of the show is set to start in 2019. Be sure to read the ITM review of this Disney stage delight.
